The Fathers of the Church, in plain English, for ordinary readers.
The Christ Bearer Catholic Patristic Library offers fresh translations of the Fathers of the Church, made for people who pray rather than for specialists. Each volume has a clear introduction and is paired with a companion Catholic study guide for parish groups, classrooms, and personal reading.
Volume One is St. Gregory of Nyssa’s The Path to God, his homilies on the Lord’s Prayer and the Beatitudes. Volume Two is St. Maximus the Confessor’s The Ascetic Life with The Four Centuries on Love. Both translations are also available in Spanish.
